Review

A moving story of animals and humans working together to find refuge, safety… and a new home. I found this new picture book incredibly moving… and the illustrations gave me an almost physical reaction to the coming of a bush fire – the chill of fear, the uncertainty of unknown, and the panic of escape. This is a uniquely Australian picture book that reminds us all of the fragility of our land and native animals, and how by working hand-in-hand together we can make a difference.
