OPENING/MEET THE ARTISTS Saturday 4 March, 11am – 5pm ALL WELCOME

“Why Redhead? It’s a place I can go to be close to nature and by the sea where I can be part of the landscape, part of country. I would take my children down to Redhead often over the years but this time it was my dog Maggie and me, walking along sandy tracks with a backpack full of painting equipment, sundome, suncream, lunch, water and swimmers. Some days it was so windy Maggie and I would have to go leave the beach and find a spot out of the wind to paint. I got lost once when I thought I’d take a short cut back to the car. The wind, sand and more wind at time had me not in control but in that pushed me to keep going and putting marks and using colours anew. I hope you enjoy these paintings from the Redhead areas.” Isabel Gomez
